Waking up at 5 AM because your child is crying for someone to sleep with her isn't ideal. Having that child throwing up at 5:10 AM is sad. We thought she was sick because of her crying. Wrong!! She was crying because she was sick. Poor thing :(
I went into her bed with her. Everyone knows that mommies are supposed to help their children feel better. Well she kept throwing up in the puke bucket I got for her from downstairs. Then by 5:30 she was wanting to come down and watch cartoons.
Sooooo I've been up with her since 5 AM and she can't even keep water down. She's been laying on the couch all morning, the puke bucket beside her with a damp cloth to wipe her face afterward :(
Whatever tummy bug that is invading her ... I hope it leaves soon. Jon said if she goes all day throwing up her water then we'll have to bring her to the hospital for fear she'll dehydrate.
Definitely not how I wanted to spend my day at all. Poor little munchkin :(
I'll sit here on the couch with her and drink my tea. Eventually I'll get dressed and get started with the housework but I'm in no hurry. She is my priority today.

The vomiting ended around 8 AM but then it progressed to diarrhea in the afternoon. That's equally as disgusting but hopefully she will be 100% by tomorrow.
She's eating and drinking so that's a non-issue with her thankfully.
Life goes by so fast sometimes that we forget to stop, take a breath and enjoy the moments as they happen. This is my attempt to "smell the roses" ... in the moment instead of remembering them after they go by.
